We collaborated in teams to envision a forward-looking redesign of Jülicher Straße as a vibrant urban artery. The focus lay on reorganizing its structure as a key development axis between Haaren and Aachen’s city center, incorporating new forms of mobility. The aim was to enhance the urban space, improve the quality of life, create new public spaces, and integrate modern infrastructures, particularly those needed for 5G technology.

Our approach emphasized increasing green spaces, offering more areas for public engagement, and reducing individual car traffic. The previously isolated residential and industrial areas were to be reconnected and revitalized.
